The inspiration for Lola Kay wines is deeply rooted in family. Our grandmothers Lola and Kay were independent, determined women, each blazing their own way amidst an era of conformity and tradition. With LK wines we continue to blaze our own trail by making beautiful, vivacious wines of exceptional character and authentic quality.

A little more about L & K: Kay was raised on the Alberta prairie, taught all the local kids in a one-room schoolhouse, married the son of a Royal Canadian Mountie, and captained her curling team to victories in national and international championships.

Lola was a child of snowy St. Petersburg, a painter and published writer, art historian, climber of alpine peaks, and a lover of red wine.

The label illustration of Lola Kay is from an original ink drawing by UK artist Christopher Gilvan-Cartwright.

We feel it expresses the free spirit of the 1920s era

as well as the enduring joie de vie that

a good bottle of wine can bring

to friends and family!
